The Nike Air Max 90 is one of Nike’s most iconic sneakers. With more colorways being released all the time it can be hard to keep up. Here’s the top 10 colorways released since 2010.

This 2015 colorway was an easy pick for best Air Max 90 colorway because the classic color scheme respects the shoe’s nineties’s roots. Black leather and dark grey suede overlap the white mesh while the chunky sole is white and black.

Persian Violet Print

Men's Nike Air Max 90 Persian Violet-Black-Dove Grey-Ash Grey

This Persian Blue design is one of only a handful of AM 90 print colorways released since 2010. A paint effect covers the blue upper which is complimented by black, Dove Grey, and Ash Grey accents. Known as the Air Max III until 2000, the shoe has continued to evolve and will still be one of the best sneakers in ten years time.

Released in May 2015, this is the latest colorway to be added to the list. The iridescent AM 90 was released along with an Air Max 1 in Nike’s ‘Iridescent’ pack. The pack is similar to the recent Adidas ‘Xeno’ pack; the colorways are dark colors until light hits them and they become shiny and multicolored.

This is one of the OG colorways which was originally released twenty five years ago. However it was released again in May 2015 so it can still be included in the list of best AM 90 colorways since 2010. The widely loved infrared design has been the best selling of any of these colorways on eBay since its release.

Women’s Nike x Liberty of London

This women’s “Liberty of London” paisley design was part of the Nike x Liberty of London spring/summer 2014 collection. The shoe features Liberty London signature fabric prints taken from the Liberty archives. The floral prints used are the 1930’s Anoosha print, the 1970’s Willow print, and the 19th century crown print. A number of other Nike shoes got a floral Liberty makeover, among them were the Nike Roshe Run and the Dunk Sky High. Women don’t get nearly as many cool colorways as men, but this Liberty of London colorway easily earns its place on the list of colorways since 2010.

This was one of three colorways released as part of Nike’s 2013 Independence Day pack. Kanye West was often seen wearing this all red colorway, leading it to become one of the most popular AM 90 colorways of 2013. The other colorways released as part of this pack were an all white pair, and an all navy pair. This all red design is a flaming hot reimagining of the original 1970s Nike Air Soles, and it’s just as popular as the first editions. With an all-red colorway, Hyperfuse and mesh uppers and the stars and stripes logo patch, it’s a modern classic.

This Ivory/Metallic Gold/Metallic Silver design was released in June 2014 as part of Nike Sportswear 2014 summer “Gold Hypervenom” collection. It was one of many Jacquard AM 90s released at the time. Other sneakers included in the Gold Hypervenom pack were the Nike Free Flyknit Chukka, Tiempo ’94 Mid, Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Roshe Run Hyperfuse.

Hyperfuse “Highlighter Pack” Neon Yellow

It is one of three AM 90 colorways from the “Highlighter Pack” which was released in August 2011, a month after the Air Max 90 Hyperfuse launched. The other two colorways released in the pack were Solar Red and Blue Glow. Hyperfuse technology has been employed in a number of popular Nike shoes since it was first seen in 2010, among them are some Hyperfuse Nike Roshe Runs and LeBron 11 sneakers.

Nike’s Engineered Mesh Sunset Pack released in June 2013, just in time for summer. The Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95, and Air Max 97 were included in the pack.
